(More customer reviews)I bought this remote control car for my 3 year old. He loves it! The car goes in reverse (in circles) until you press on the remote. My son is fine with this and often just likes to watch the car go in backwards circles! The car is smaller than I expected, but not a big deal since it was for a 3 year old. The cover holding the batteries in will dislodge, allowing the batteries to fall out. This might occur when it slams into a wall - not sure. We put a little scotch tape over the battery compartment cover to help with this problem.
So, the car is smaller, goes in reverse unless the remote is used, and the battery cover comes off. But, my 3 year old loves Lightning McQueen and he thinks it's wonderful. I'm happy with the car since he is. On the whole, I would say it was a good purchase for a 3 year old.
Oh - one other thing. I wouldn't recommend taking it outside to run it. Perhaps it's because my sons were using it on our deck but the back tires (the rubber coverings) would not stay on when he ran it on the deck. Not a big deal - they go right back on.
