(More customer reviews)If you are looking to make your kid's power wheels go faster this is the motor for you! These are easy to replace, please note you will need to buy a pinion (gear) that matches your existing motor (32p & however many teeth ie: 16, 19, 21etc)
replacing the motor just involves cutting the wires off the old one soldering or using a connectors to hook up these putting the pinions on and then mount them onto the gearbox with two screws.
You MUST replace both motors if you upgrade to this.
Want to go really fast? convert your 12v vehicle to 18v its easy to do and the kids have a blast.
Only 4 caveats I will give. 1. never go to 24v. The factory wiring (14awg) will not hold up to 24v nor will ANY motor. Secondly make sure that the pinion lines up with the first gear in the gearbox or it will chew it up and render it worthless. 3rd since you have the rear wheels off to remove the gearbox take the gearbox apart as its only has 4 screws and 4 plastic gears in there and LUBRICATE IT. Clean it all out and put grease everywhere bearing grease works great. Lastly go to Ace hardware and get some 7/16" shaft collers to hold the wheels on they are a million times better then the cheap plastic cap nuts that fisher price provides
