(More customer reviews)I was tempted to give this another star because it's too cheap to expect more, but no. This toy is not good value at any price.
It's noisy, nasty, flimsy, doesn't work very well, and is a disappointment for the little child who is so excited by its superficial visual appeal. It certainly was for our truck-mad boy (3 1/2). It's a perfect example of what is wrong with so many modern toys and other consumer goods. It's obviously designed and manufactured for one thing only: to look appealing enough to suck you into purchase.
The packaging seals the insulting sense of "we've got your money now, sucker!" It's presented well but it is not designed to allow you to actually remove it. To extract it from the box you have to remove 12 screws, along with a little of the ubiquitous twisted wire packaging. Screws. Really. Make sure you have a Philips head screwdriver on hand, and not one with a wide shaft either - 4 of the screws are set quite deep. On what planet does that make sense?
Buy a small quality die-cast truck or something. The child will get more out of it.
