(More customer reviews)This charger is great. it charged a 7cell 4200mah at 5amps in about 40 minutes. you can charge 4-7cell nicd and nimh at 1.5amp, 3amps, or 5amps. after plugging it in the outlet the LED blinks at 6cell, i needed to charge a 7cell so i pressed the button and it went to 7cell. pressing the button will select your desired cell #s. so at 7cell, i selected 5amps by moving the switch to the right, i plugged in the battery, and i held the button until all leds blink to indicate the beginning of the fast charge. after the blinks the LED status shows your battery status. when it reaches fully charged it sends a warning sound(beeps) and goes to trickle charge to preserve full charge. after the fast charge the battery and the charger were just warm.
