(More customer reviews)This plane is a lot of fun. However, if you are new to the hobby of RC aircraft, I do not recommend this product; check out the J3 Supercub also by Parkzone instead. It is an excellent trainer. Otherwise, read on.
This is my first electric low-wing airplane. Flying electric is a lot less of a hassle than glow engines because you don't have to constantly buy expensive fuel and no one bothers you about the noise (this thing is pretty quiet). The only rub is waiting for the batteries to charge. Trust me, once you have this bird up once, the wait for a fresh battery will drive you nuts.
This kit comes with everything you need to get started. The plane has all of the electronics (motor, servos and receiver) pre-installed and comes with a Spektrum 2.4 GHz DX5 transmitter. I like the 2.4 GHz radio systems because you don't have to worry about what channel anyone else is using like you did in the 72 MHz days. Once you switch the radio system on, it scans the spectrum for two unused channels and assigns them. Barring the freak interferences that occur no matter what brand or spectrum you use, you'll have a safe and stable flight.
To get her in the air, the only thing you need to do is attach the wing and charge the included battery. Also included in the kit is a three blade prop that is seen in the image. A two blade prop is installed on the aircraft out of the box. The two blade offers more thrust and the three blade offers a more realistic scale performance. I prefer the three blade just because it looks cool.
The Corsair flys beautifuly in winds up to 10 MPH. The powerful 480 kV brushless motor that comes with the kit lets you take to the skies VERTICALLY. I found this plane to be very fast and highly responsive in the air, which lets you perform just about any aerobatic maneuver you can think up. Bringing her down is nice, too, as it has a very stable glide that, in low wind scenarios, will let you land with no power.
Crashing isn't much of an issue with this plane, either. The entire body is made of Parkzone's Z-foam, which is just styrofoam. Sounds cheap, I know, because I was skeptical of "foamies" at first, too. However, any body damage done can be fixed easily out in the field with some 5 minute epoxy or CA glue. Crashes still have the potential of breaking your plastic prop or damaging your servos, so be careful. I have brought mine down pretty rough a couple of times and knicked the wings, but a little glue and some patience and no one could ever tell. Try that with a balsa wood kit!

ParkZone is proud to present another legend inits lineup of Warbirds.Along with the North American P-51, the Corsair is arguably the most popular fighter plane of World War II. The F4U Corsair, made famous for its ability to outclimb, outrun or outfight any enemy in its day, is an exciting addition to the ParkZone family. Referred to as "whistling death” by the Japanese in World War II, and the "Sweetheart of Okinawa" by American troops, the inverted gull wing allowed for the huge propeller to clear the deck with its short, stout landing gear. Designed as a carrier-based fighter, it was also the first Naval aircraft to have landing gear retract flush into the wingbehind panelsfor improved aerodynamics, and it was the first fighter to exceed speeds of 400 mph. Its successful reputation and unique flying characteristics have earned the F4U Corsair its place in American military history! ParkZone’s version of the Corsair features Spektrum's DX5e radio technology, a 480 Brushless outrunner motor and Li-Po battery for ultimate control, exceptional performance and increased flight time. The fixedlanding gearand steerable tail wheel allow for smoothtakeoffs and landings. The attention to scale detail in this plane is amazing, from its historicallyrepresentative 3-colortrim scheme to the pilot figure inside the cockpit. The Corsair delivers incredible looks and the immediate gratification ParkZone plane owners have grown to love, while its Spektrum DX5e radio technology and Z-Foam™ construction provide pilots with thedurability and reliability they require in a park flyer.
