(More customer reviews)We purchased this toy for our son who saw it and became obsessed with it. It was a Christmas present. It has never worked. The construction of the boat is of very poor quality, it is not balanced and tips when it runs in the water, the remote control doesn't work consistently, and when it does work it's range is about 15 feet, regardless of how new the batteries are, and I cannot believe that it costs as much as it does. The reason we did not return it is that our boy wanted to keep it and try to "fix" it as he loves to take things apart and learn how they go back together. Since he seemed to be having fun doing that, we kept it. To this day we have taken it apart 3 times. I am qualified to write this review because we never returned it. The remote control is a very cheaply made piece of plastic junk, similar to the boat. I wrote the company that I purchased it from (can't remember now as it has been over a year) and they acknowledged that it was a poor quality toy, but offered no assistance or service in the way of a return due to the length of time that had gone by - which I understand.
My goal it writing this is to save others the same aggravation that we have experienced.
A complete piece of junk not worth $2.99, let alone 60 or 70 bucks.
Save your money. Do not buy this.
