(More customer reviews)I purchased one of these for my two year old cousin who is absolutely obsessed with vehicles. He was able to figure out the controls on his own within only a few minutes and was busy running into people/things in no time (and having a blast doing it). The vehicle drives like a tank (two levers, one to make each of the sides' wheels rotate foreward and back).
There are only a few cautions:
1) Younger children seem to instinctively pick this up by the antenna which is only a wire in a plastic tube (tube is removable). This may, in time, cause a problem.
2) The controller takes 2 AAA batteries but the car takes 3 AA batteries. I miscounted the 'A's and ended up without AA batteries at first.
3) The vehicle seems to go through batteries fairly quickly. Getting NiMH batteries would seem to be a good idea. I highly recommend the "La Crosse Technology BC-900 AlphaPower Battery Charger" (comes with 4AAA and 4AA NiMH batteries).
