The controls are a bit tricky for the youngest to maneuver (under 7 yrs of age), but they still had fun with it. Once the button on the side of the bumper car is "bumped" the rider flies out with a little "eeeeeek" sound - the kids loved it. Does need lots of batteries and since the kids played with it non-stop the batteries needed replaced several times during the day. Chargeable batteries would be a good idea for this toy. Definitely a winner. Thinking seriously of getting a second set so four kids (and adults) can play at the same time. Does require some hand-eye coordination (educational part), but just plain fun for all ages.
