16-Inch Original Big Wheel Review

(More customer reviews)DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Only giving 1 Star because I cannot give ZERO stars.
The only thing this product has in common with the "Original" Big Wheel is the name and stickers (which Alpha International and Gamma 2 apparently bought, hoping to cash in on the nostalgia-market of my demographic).
By my count a full 20 of the 46 (43%) reviews on Target.com reported missing parts. This review makes 21 (& bumps the percentage to 45%). That is an unacceptable failure rate, and does not even account the negative reviews relating to the near-impossibility of actually putting the big wheel together.
We purchased this toy for our son for Christmas. Building it prior to Christmas, I discovered the big wheel was missing the axle. Thank you, Target, Alpha International, and Gamma 2 for leaving me to explain to my 2 1/2 year old that he could not have the one thing for which he actually asked, because "Santa goofed." When I was finally able to get a hold of someone who could take an order for a new part, I was shipped two rear wheels, not the axle needed. Another phone call resulted in the delivery of an EMPTY container, so poorly packaged that the axle slid out while in transit. Today I finally received the axle and again tried to build the gift (a full FOURTEEN days after Christmas). On my first attempt to insert the seat posts into the corresponding holes on the frame of the big wheel, the right post broke.
The "customer service" number in the instructions is a joke; all Big Wheel inquiries must be made via[...], which advises that there is a 5-7 lead time before they can / will respond. Target's corporate call center was less than helpful, giving the standard "so sorry to hear that" line without offering much in the way of resolution.
46 reviews and a 1.5 Star rating [....]... What is Target going to do to respond to this? Target... if you cannot do business with reputable partners who provide quality products, why should the public do business with you?

(More customer reviews)I was not expecting to receive this already assembled. I expected to at least have to put the wheels on. Nice surprise! This is really cute for boys or girls. It is low and wide, so the center of gravity should mean it won't turn over easily. The wheels are casters and lets it go in all directions. My grandson like to put things inside containers, so he enjoyed the compartment under the seat. He also likes to push buttons, so the three sound effects buttons are fun (batteries are included - it really is ready to go!). It also looks very durable. A very good value.

So I tried to put duct tape over the speaker which had little results, so I ended up disconnecting the speaker. Don't waste the extra money on the sound feature buy the classic.

(More customer reviews)My son received this from Grandma - he loves it. It has a number of sound bytes that are accompanied by lights and vibrations. It's an interesting piece of eye candy - very nostalgic. The only problem with it is that it's not a very good ride on, a good sit on toy yes, but not very easy to ride. Unless your child has an above average inseam, he won't be able to foot power the item, plus it doesn't steer?

Schylling Silver Racecar Metal Speedster Review

(More customer reviews)Had to use supplemental screws to make sure this toy was assembled securely... had I used what arrived with the box, it would have been wobbly and (I suspect) would have fallen apart.
That said... a beautiful toy and a hugely fun.

InStep Pink Lady Pedal Car Review

(More customer reviews)We saw this car and thought it would be so cute for our 5 year old, she weighs about 40 lbs and is 3' 9" tall and this car is too small for her to pedal correctly. This website and others says max weight is 70 lbs. but the manual says max weight is 60 lbs. It never gives height which it should because you adjust the pedals according to how tall the child is. There are three different pedal positions and my daughter was on the last holes and she still can barely pedal because she is too tall. Now we have to see if the comp. will take it back if not we are going to gift the car to a smaller child. This is made for a child who is about 3 or 4 years old and 3' tall max height! It comes w/ decals to add to the car, so you can personalize it w/ their name, our decal package were all uppercase letters which the picture clearly shows small and uppercase letters to use it also shows you can use an apostrophe in the child's name, this also was NOT in the decal package. We are so disappointed in this purchase, and my daughter is even more so because she loves the car so much.

(More customer reviews)Our little boy picked this out at TRU. He had to have it, and we gave in since it was the first thing he had ever really picked out on his own. He enjoyed it in the beginning, but, now that he is 22 months old, he loves it. He is constantly scooting it around the house and driveway. As of yet, we have not had any problems with the horn as others have mentioned. We also did not have any problems with him being able to straddle it. He has played on it since before he was a year and still does at 22 months. I would recommend.

(More customer reviews)I gave this to my 1.5 yr old nephew and he absolutely loves it. He had it all figured out the same day he got it. He now is playing with his toys down the ramp and just having a blast. In the video he says "adah" which is his way of saying "again". :) Great toy!

mini kick Scooter - ORANGE Review

(More customer reviews)I first have to say that I love this scooter, and my son loves it as well. As a general product/review I would give it 5 stars BUT..I am SO disappointed in the color/plastic. We live in Milan(Italy) and can get the scooters there,but being that my son's favorite color is orange, we waited and ordered it here(U.S) , it was easier to get. It arrived in perfect condition, was mounted and ready to go in 5 mins..all good so far. The problem started after he had used it. We are in Michigan, and this Summer has been pretty cool/cloudy definately not typically hot and sunny. Within 2 weeks of use, the color had COMPLETELY bleached out..it is now kind of a pale yellow/translucent color. I would never have believed it could do that, especially not in such a short amount of time. Maybe if it had been a entire Summer in maybe Arizona/Florida,etc It looks like it has been used for 3-4 years and left outside half of the time. I know this problem is basically aesthetic..but it REALLY bothers me, because 1. it was not cheap(price) and 2. it is really ugly now.
I hope noone else has this problem, what a disappointment!

(More customer reviews)One thing comes to mind when you handle this toy and that is quality. Radio Flyer has had a reputation for quality for generations and this item is no different.
Not only is it attractive, the workmanship is flawless. There are no small parts to come off and cause a choking hazard.
The steering wheel is actually functional. A feature seldom found on other ride-ons.
The child appears to be in a proper seated position while riding this toy and the ergonomics, with its nice smooth curves, are appropriate and appear to be comfortable (I am too large to verify this :)
The wheels are a nice firm rubber and provide excellent grip unlike other plastic wheels found on other toys. This is especially important for the child who coasts along a smooth surface (i.e. smooth paved garages, etc.).
All this and value too. We are talking about a metal bodied vehicle here, not another plastic generic toy for a very reasonable price. I could be wrong, but this appears to be the only metal ride-on available at this time.
The nostalgia for parents who have grown up with Radio Flyer is there as well and the neat retro styling adds to the products attractiveness.
A must buy!!!!!!!!!!

(More customer reviews)My 4-year-old daughter asked for a scooter for Christmas from Santa, so I immediately went to Amazon to browse their selection. This scooter is perfect!
- It's so stable, that it stands upright by itself, which makes it easy for her just learning how to ride a scooter.
- It's very durable. Being 4, you know how kids are going from one thing to the next. The scooter is dropped to the ground without hesitation, but isn't impacted at all. I was worried about it being plastic vs. metal, but this isn't an issue. It's lighter and easier to move than a metal Razor.
The wide foot base is nice as she learns how to balance. My 2 1/2-year-old also tries to ride this scooter and does pretty well.

(More customer reviews)This trike is well-designed, sturdy, and user-friendly! Everything is positioned well and you can tell that much thought has gone in to this product. It is made well and has held up very well under regular use by our 1-year old. Our only recommendation would be to put better tires on it. The plastic tires that it comes with are fine for indoor use, but don't work well for outdoor use.
