(More customer reviews)I have purchased three of these SYMA Model S022 mini Chinook helis. The first flew very well indoors; however it would not hold a charge. I could have ordered another battery but the cost to ship a new battery and the difficulty to change out the battery proved more expensive that ordering a new product. I ordered two new products and I am now flying one and gave another as a gift to a friend who is enjoying the S022. I broke down the first S022 for parts.
This is an good product for transitioning into a tandem rotor heli system. It has flight characteristics different that the co-ax systems most people start with. Its typically stable without the need of a gyro and performs well throughout most flight conditions. If you want to experience a tandem 3 channel mini this is could be your product of choice. The fit and finish of this model is excellent. I would consider an upgrade to the SYMA Model S026 after getting some flight time with the S022. The S026 is a true radio controlled product (27 Mhz) that has the same rugged design ad the S022.
Bottom-Line: The SYMA S022 is a good tandem rotor toy heli for the price. It is a bit small but makes up for the enjoyment of flying a tandem rotor heli. I does take some time to transition from a single coax to a tandem coax system since you can trim the pitch but its well worth the experience.
