(More customer reviews)Great kit. The instructions were great very easy to install. I planned on acouple hours to install the kit seeing how you have to take the transmission apart but i had it apart and back together in an hour. I did get shorted a teflon washer which doesn't seem to make a real big deal with the operation. I have to fault traxx's for that I install equipment for the power system and always like when they give you a few extra nuts and bolts when you put something together. The other thing I don't know if you can get metal gears for the reverse from other companys but if you have put metal gears in the transmission i would look for another option seeing how the gears are plastic in this kit and you may strip them out. Besides that having the reverse is great I think traxx's should of just installed it from the factory like the older models.

The Revo 3.3 (5308) and T-Maxx 3.3 (4908) models use forward-only transmissions to reduce rotating weight and maximize acceleration and top speed, but Traxxas hasn’t forgotten those drivers that prefer the versatility of a reversing transmission. Reverse Installation Kits are now available for both models, with full instructions and all required hardware—right down to a sub-micro servo to operate the shifting mechanism. The Revo 3.3 and T-Maxx 3.3 include 3-channel radio systems, so you’re ready for reverse as soon as you install the kit. Whether you just need to back your truck out of trouble or want to add stunt moves to your next driving session, the Reverse Installation Kit is all you need to shift into "R.”
