We bought this for our 5 year old son for Christmas. Previously he has been driving around a "Power Wheels" Jeep that was my daughter's until she outgrew it, so we can give you a head-to-head comparison between the two. The F150 is quite a bit bigger than the Jeep, it came in a HUGE box! It is wider, taller and longer; and has much more clearance underneath. There is some assembly involved as well as applying of decals, but the instructions are good and the assembly is nothing complicated. I haven't seen this mentioned before in the reviews, but the "Monster Traction" feature comes by way of a separate electric motor driving each rear wheel (2 motors total). Typical Power Wheels have a single electric motor driving one rear wheel while the other rear wheel free-wheels. The Monster Traction definitely works, the Jeep gets stuck in certain places in our yard (particularly on the grade changes between pavement and grass) while the F150 easily breezes across those same areas. But here's something you need to know, if you install the low speed lockout on a Monster Traction vehicle, it no longer has Monster Traction! Only the right rear wheel is active at low speed and in reverse. As a result, it gets stuck on all but the most solid terrain in low speed or in reverse. In reading some of the complaints about traction here I'm guessing this is due to low speed running. You've got to keep it on high to take advantage of the Monster Traction driving both rear wheels.
Other comments- the construction is very robust like all F-P Power Wheels vehicles, it'll no doubt last a long time. The radio is a neat feature for the kids to play with. Reception isn't fantastic, but they like it just fine. The F150 is nicely finished out and looks close enough to the real thing to make our son feel like he's driving a vehicle rather than riding on a toy. I rate this as an excellent purchase for the money and fully expect it to last many years just as the Jeep has.

Adventure and exploration await when your child is in the driver's seat of a Fisher Price Power Wheels vehicle! The Fisher Price Power Wheels Ford F150 is a battery-operated ride-on vehicle that your child can really drive. Your child will gain a real sense of independence playing "grown up" driving a "real" car, and he or she can have great fun practicing coordination skills by steering, stopping, and driving in reverse! Just Like a Real Truck! Designed for children ages three to about six (65-pound maximum weight per passenger), the Power Wheels Ford F150 operates with a real steering wheel and foot pedal -- just like a real truck. Powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery, the truck can drive up to five miles per hour. The car is designed to travel at a max of 2.5 MPH at first, when your child is a beginning driver: when he or she becomes more experienced, just remove the safety mechanism to reach maximum speed! The vehicle also features a specially designed safety braking system, which automatically stops the vehicle when the foot is removed from the pedal. The truck can also go in reverse at up to 2.5 MPH. The truck includes great details such as chrome accents, hot foiled badges, play seatbelts, dashboard storage, and a working "fuel gauge" that monitors battery level. Ride in Style! The truck features lots of cool details that will have your child riding in style. He or she can pop some juice in the cup holder, load up the roomy truck bed with gear, turn up the real, working FM radio, and drive off to exciting adventures! There's room for a friend in the passenger seat, too (up to 65 pounds). The Ford F150 also features the Power Wheels Ultimate Terrain Traction. With this advanced tire package, the truck can "off-road" into areas that others can't handle: It can drive over thick, wet grass, muddy areas, gravel, and other small backyard obstacles such as tree roots and garden hoses. This vehicle requires a 12-volt rechargeable battery designed specifically for this toy, which is included with your purchase, as well as a battery charger. It also requires four C batteries (not included) to operate the FM radio. This Power Wheels toy is covered by a limited 1-year "Bumper-to-Bumper" warranty from the manufacturer. What's in the Box 1 Power Wheels Ford F150 ride-on toy, 12-volt rechargeable battery, and battery charger.
