(More customer reviews)The ESC came in a nice box signed by the tester. Along with it was a LRP catalog, heat sinks, capacitors, and a manual. Well, i just placed it in my RC, connected the battery and it ran great. It's very light and it's waterproof and no set up required.

PROs: The unit is light and can easily be programmed with a Castle Link which sold separately. It saves weight and space without using an extra battery pack. It uses the same battery as the ESC does. The instruction came with the unit for installation is clear and very detail in anyway.
CONs: The unit is a little beefy/bulky. You need to have a "Y" harness in order to connect it to receiver with 7 channel or less.

(More customer reviews)I have always used Phoenix ESC's in my helicopters, but the last one, which was a Phoenix 80 was not up to the task. So I got the ICE 100 and I am very happy with the change. The unit runs much cooler, the BEC works well, and with the the Link Software, it is very easy to program. Supports up to 8S Lipo batteries. As an added bonus, it had data logging built in! I was about to buy a seperate remote data logging system, but this does most of what I need. The heat sink makes it marginally more heavy, but it is well worth the weight penalty.

Phoenix Ice brings the ability to run at input voltages of up to 34V (8S LiPo or 22 cells NiCd/NiMH)and use the built in switching BEC to output up to 5 amps of servo power all the way up to the 34V max. The Phoenix Ice switching BEC output is factory set to 5.0V. Users may use Castle Link to select their desired voltage between 5.0V and 7.0V, in 0.1V increments.
