Rokenbok ROK Works Start Set Review

The whole family can work together, each controlling a different vehicle or machine (up to 8 at once), to accomplish whatever goals you decide upon -- usually, moving the red and blue "roks" (balls) around. Various starter sets are available, but this is the one we have, and it's a good choice. You get everything you need to set up a small layout, including a front-loader and an automatic ball elevator. All the parts and machines are very well engineered and solid. They're fun and easy to control. As your set grows (and especially as you get more than one controller and vehicle), it's great for multiple kids to play together -- it's non-violent, cooperative, and creative. I highly recommend the Rokenbok line, and this particular set is a great start (and your second set should probably be the Rokenbok RC Monorail).

LEGO brand Toy Story Woody and Buzz Rescue (7590) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this set and put it together in about fifteen minutes with my daughter. We were very excited when we got the set, because it comes with both a Woody and a Buzz mini figure, as well as the RC Car. After putting it together, the RC car was surprisingly fast, and also incredibly fragile. The slightest mishandling will cause the car to fall apart. Buzz's visor suffers from the same problem. The RC car is also kind of small.
Overall, this is a neat set, though it seems like it should have been a little cheaper. You are basically paying twenty dollars for two mini figures, since the car is going to fall apart so often, you'll probably just leave it alone. This set is recommended to fans of Toy Story, especially since it is the only way to get both Woody and Buzz in one set.

(More customer reviews)We bought this for our grandchild as a Christmas gift. She is only 16 months old but it took no time for her to know how to get it to turn etc. with the one button. It is so easy to use. Seems very durable and we had no trouble with batteries etc- Everything fit right in. Everyone here from 16 months to 60 enjoyed playing with it so it got a good workout. The only problem I had with it is the noise which can get irritating after awhile. It is too constant of a sound when it is on. It is a great first time remote control car though.
