(More customer reviews)In November, I sent in my review of the Rokenbok Deluxe Starter Set. You can see it posted on this site. In addition, I e-mailed Rokenbok and attached my amazon.com review, letting them know it will soon be posted. Their response was incredible. Since November, Rokenbok replaced both the Command Deck and the control pads. They followed up via e-mail and most recently a personal letter from the V.P. of Customer Service. In an age where profit is often put before performance, my hat goes off to Rokenbok. This company is truly top notch!

Nikko 1/19 Dodge Ram Hemi Full Function Truck Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this toy early for my 8 year old son for Christmas...early October. Christmas Day, my son opened the present, we put a new set of batteries in the truck and control and NOTHING. We tried the same batteries in another remote control car, and it worked. We tried another set of batteries...NOTHING. I cannot return this toy because it was purchased in October, even though it wasn't even opened until Christmas Day. My son is even more disappointed than I am. So much for shopping early for Chrismas...so much for expecting a toy to work right out of the box!

Rokenbok ROK Works Start Set Review

The whole family can work together, each controlling a different vehicle or machine (up to 8 at once), to accomplish whatever goals you decide upon -- usually, moving the red and blue "roks" (balls) around. Various starter sets are available, but this is the one we have, and it's a good choice. You get everything you need to set up a small layout, including a front-loader and an automatic ball elevator. All the parts and machines are very well engineered and solid. They're fun and easy to control. As your set grows (and especially as you get more than one controller and vehicle), it's great for multiple kids to play together -- it's non-violent, cooperative, and creative. I highly recommend the Rokenbok line, and this particular set is a great start (and your second set should probably be the Rokenbok RC Monorail).

(More customer reviews)After checking prices here on Amazon.com, where we do most of our online shopping, my wife headed out to Toys R Us, where this Hexbug track was selling for about 60% of what Amazon.com's third-party sellers are presently charging for it. Do yourself a favor -- check Target or Toys R Us. Don't fall victim to price gouging here.
That aside, it's a great toy. The Nano cruises around, rights itself if it falls over, and runs along the track. Great fun. You get two Nanos with this track. A few more makes it even more exciting. Just make sure you don't overpay for it.
