(More customer reviews)This is such a cool quality well-designed toy with a lot of features that really work well. I have the entire Bruder Mack Granite series (along with all the CAT construction stuff). I haven't seen anything comparable offered by any other toy manufacturer in this scale. Even though you will never see a truck like this in operation down here in Florida, it is such a fun toy to play with in the sand on the beach. I bought this Bruder toy (and all the others) for my 5 month old grandson who will be old enough to play with them in about 2 1/2 years. Until then I'll take really good care of them, and they are all on display in my man cave...
...as they should be.

(More customer reviews)1 out of every 10 times you might get lucky and the plane might fly. When it does it's really cool. Most of the time, it just smacks the ground. And if you need to understand aviation and rocket science to bend the wings for 10 minutes JUST RIGHT each time to get it to stay in the air, something is wrong with the toy.

(1) Controller does not work from more than 6' away.
(2) Battery connector pops loose with even a low speed bump.
(3) Will not work on even new, clean carpet, grass, sand, snow seem highly unlikely.
(4) You will never use this on water unless you want to watch it drift away once it is more than a few feet out, then SINK when it runs out of battery power (says in the owner's manual that it does not float).
SUMMARY: This product is a total waste of money.

Wild Planet Spy Video Car Review

(More customer reviews)Pretty expensive but I ended up splurging and getting it for my 8 year old nephew for this coming Christmas. I ended up giving it to him this weekend instead; I wanted to see it go too and couldn't wait 4 months!
My nephew REALLY likes it but, oy!, is the video bad -- what they show in the online commercial is quite a bit clearer and contrasty than what we see in our actual unit. I think the infrared aspect blurs things a bit and its sensitivity is pretty low in any case. You can't read ANY writing thru the video, regardless of size of print, etc. Still, the video link is minimally serviceable (adequate for manuevering with a little bit of practice) and my nephew has a BIG time sitting in his "command center" and sending it out on "remote missions" using only the onboard video link. Seems fairly robust and sturdy so far.

It works wonderfully on tile, laminate, and hardwood floors but because if the small wheels it doesn't work on carpeting that well. It is easy to use, fairly quiet and small enough to take along in a "busy" bag. My 6 year old (and husband) each enjoy taking turns too!

(More customer reviews)This review is to help with this Adapter if you can't find it. I went to Radio Shack and they sell a 9V/300mA AC-to-DC Power Adapter. It's $14.00. It comes with 1 adaptaplug. Size O and size N will both seem to fit in the V-Smile, but only size N really fits. [...] It is Catalog # 273-1767. It works fine for the V-Smile. Good Luck to all and of course you can use the adapter for other V-tech products. Just bring it to radioshack and you can try all the various plugs to see which one you need.
