Fisher-Price GeoTrax Rail and Road System: Hauler and Big Rob Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this and returned it immediately. The power is in the second car (see the little light at the top in the pic), so it pushes the engine instead of the regular train engines that pull. And the engine it comes with is very light so it jackknifes easily. It's fine if you run on a simple straight track with very wide turns and no hills, but once you start going around sharp bends or multiple hills, hills upon hills, turns at the end of hills, it derails and angers my 3 year old to no end. This was a poor Geotrax design. We have loved every bit of the Geotrax system and were very sorry that this one didn't work out for us.

Blue GeoAir Remote Control Flash Jet Plane for the GeoTrax Transportation System Review

(More customer reviews)My 4 year old received his first Geotrax train set for his 1st birthday that included a remote control train, bridge, and a couple of location stops. We waited until he was a little older before we set it up to ensure that he could play with it and had an interest. I can't remember the first time we set it up (maybe when he was 2 1/2), but I believe the interest quickly took off for both him and his younger brother (age 2 1/2). Since then, we had added more track to allow for more track layouts.
A few months ago, we added the new Fisher-Price Transportation System GeoAir High-Flyin' Airportwhich includes a remote control airplane. Very cool! For Christmas,they received the Fisher Price - Geo Trax Grand Central Station Mega Set, Mountain Blast Construction Site, and Fisher-Price GeoTrax Rail and Road System Helicopter. We also added the Fly-By Bridge with GeoAir Expansion Track (which is the item that allows the GeoAir Airport and Geotrax Train sets to be connected) and the GeoTrax Transportation System GeoAir Remote Control Blue Flash Jet Plane.
Our current layout allows all the pieces to be tied together - the trains can go from downtown, through the country, past the bridge and airport, down to the mountain quarry and return in one trip! The boys love it!
Highly recommended train set for toddlers and I can see the interest staying for a few more years. In addition, very durable. You will go through lots of batteries though - the planes, trains, and remote controls all take batteries.

(More customer reviews)We picked this up for our sons 3rd birthday, he also received a lot of tunnels and towers, this is a fantastic addition to the GeoTrax rail system because its tall but not too big otherwise so its easy to fit in. The planes ride around the track well and my kids have had a great time playing with it.
The only thing I don;t love is the fact that it doesnt come with all that much track and there are no expansion tracks available yet and since its in the air all the expansion tracks coming out will include a large trax piece (barn and bridge). It would have been nice for them to provide track and attachment pieces that could fit on anywhere to the Geotrax system. Hopefully in time it will.

(More customer reviews)DURABLE FUN! If I had to describe this item in two words, it would be those. We have 4 children, but our two youngest are 2 and 3. I think, finally, someone has thought up of something that doesn't have "hundreds" of little pieces, small children of all ages can play with it and actually love it. I am a busy mom of 4 who stays home now to care for my mom full time as well. This toy is so quick to put together, I take it apart at night and put it back together in the morning and it takes maybe 5 mins. out of my busy day. My 3 yr. makes different track designs thoughout the days and my 2 yr. feels like he's actually the one making the train go on, so he feels rewarded. You can see his little gears working when he watches how it's put together. With that alone, it's educational
I don't understand some people giving this item a "poor design" or "not durable" ratings. Our train set has been sat on, stepped on (remember I have 4 kids), pushed over. This track stays together well an does not fall apart easily. You actually have to "unsnap" the pieces.
I give this item a perfect 10! It's the only reason I've gotten other GeoTrax stuff... so I can add to it.

The GeoTrax Lead Train Set offers all the classic railroad play little boys love. They can become the engineers of their own imaginations with so much to do.
