Radio Flyer Ultmate Classic Wagon Review

(More customer reviews)We got this wagon a few months ago and have used it a few times. My husband doesn't have any problems with it, but it's too heavy and unwieldy for me to pull long distances. It's also too big to fit in the back of our Subaru Forester, so we can only take it within walking distance of our house - to the farmers market, the park, etc. It's a smooth ride for my son and my niece, who are both under 2. I can't imagine trying to pull them around when they get a little older and heavier!
The canopy seems kind of flimsy, since it's only held up by 4 thin, flexible plastic posts. It would be nice if you could adjust the canopy to block out the sun on the sides/front/back of the wagon. As it is, we have to use a blanket to shield the kids' eyes when the sun comes in from the side. Also, some of the accessories pictured are different than what we received. We got the version in the last picture (the one with 2 kids). The cup holders are red molded plastic and clip onto the slats. They're easy for my son to pull off and fun to toss out of the wagon. The rear storage bag and canopy bag hangers are red instead of white. The bags are spacious and can hold a couple of jackets, a blanket, a bicycle lock and 2 drinks, and the seat belts hold two squirmy toddlers in place.
Overall, I'm happy with it, but I wish it was a little more portable and more comfortable for me to use.

My First RC Car (Colors May Vary) Review

(More customer reviews)"Santa" got this for our two year old but past years have taught me to try electronic toys out early. We demo'd this car on 12/23 and were quite sad that it made loud noises but failed to respond to the remote at all. Attempting to trouble shoot it ourselves before braving the Christmas Eve lines for an exchange we discovered that the toy also requires a 9 volt battery (for the remote) which is not included. The box makes no mention of this but does state that it requires 4 AA's (included). ** You'll want to have that extra battery on hand to make the toy functional.**
Our little guy loves this toy despite the noise factor and it's much easier for him to use than his "big boy" R/C toys that were so frustrating to him. It took him less than an hour to figure out how to turn it off and on by himself. His little sister has dropped it, stepped on it, chewed on it and otherwise abused this car and it's still working just fine. It really is made well for the harsh play of a toddler.

(More customer reviews)We bought this for our youngest daughter at Christmas when she was 6 months old. She is still playing with it at 16 months old. It can keep her occupied for long periods of time, especially if her older sister is sitting with her. It has cute sounds and the songs aren't too annoying. There is a volume control so that is always a plus. You have to watch it and make sure it doesn't stay on, otherwise the lights will keep flashing indefinately.

(More customer reviews)My son got this for Christmas! He was 15 months old at the time. He just loves it. Plays with it every day. He loves the music. He likes to dance to it and push the buttons. HE is learning his ABC's.. My older son gets use of it too. He is 4. He is learning the sounds of the letters.. So all around a GREAT toy! One great feature is that it has volume control. Always a must!

Radio Flyer Umbrella Accessory Review

(More customer reviews)I have one of these for my daughter's Discovery wagon that she just recieved for her birthday. I only got it because I thought it was my only option, and no other clamp-on umbrella would work. First of all, this umbrella is WAY TOO SMALL. The only part of your child this would shade is his/her head. And if you have more than one child, FORGET IT. I've only used it a few times, and so far it hasn't broken, like some of the reviews I read. I plan to be very careful with it. My mother-in -law had a clamp-on patio chair umbrella that was MUCH BIGGER, and when I looked at it, I decided it wouldn't work, because the clamp goes sideways, but then I thought of clamping it on the drink-holder. IT WORKED! So now I use both umbrellas. The small one for my daughter's head (clamped on the end) and the big one for the rest of her. It may look silly to some people when they see us on the street, but I don't care. I have peace of mind, and that's what's important. So this is my suggestion. If you have one, and it still works, keep it, and get a patio chair one like I did. If it has a sideways screw-on clamp, buy it, it will work if you have the Discovery wagon.Thank goodness for the drink holder. And yes, you'll still have room for your drinks.

(More customer reviews)I bought this toy for my then-16-month old son who loves to play with magnets on the fridge. This set comes with five animals in two pieces, head and tail, per animal. What I liked about this toy is that it reinforces when a match has been made, BUT if a child isn't developmentally able to do that yet, it makes up a name for the animal the child has "created" by mismatching the tail and head (for example, a "sheep-cow"). I liked that it saw a mismatch as silly rather than wrong... good for very little ones who have low frustration levels. This is a quality toy, with clear sound and easy-to-grasp pieces... I'm a picky person when it comes to toys, and I highly recommend this one!

Fisher-Price Sesame Street Silly Sounds Remote Review

(More customer reviews)This is a winner! Its mostly taken the place of the real remotes in the house - which is great! I find it comical that some of the other parent review have said this toy is "not educational" or not much for "brain development". People - toddlers learn by playing. That is how their little brain develop. A toy remote is not a set of flashcards, but thankfully toddlers don't require flashcards to learn and develop their brains.

We already have 2 fridge toys by this company (the animal matching one and the uppercase letter one) and I was so impressed that I sprung for the DJ toy. Our 12 month old loves hanging out in the kitchen but the above 2 toys were a bit beyond her and I wanted something that she could operate easily that would keep her amused. She's taken to carrying it around the house and dancing to the music when the feeling strikes her. Her 3 yr old sister and her have had a few fights over the toy as the educational information appeals to the older child.
Pros:
+ Numerous songs - not just one annoying one, but 3 difference 'stations' with multiple songs
+ Educational - I love that it teaches upper AND lower case with graphics
+ Graphics: although simple (looks like a scoreboard) the graphics dance around to the music and keep their interest
+ Easy to operate for the baby (one button to press)
+ Music - not bad, kinda jazzy; they slowed down the alphabet song which is great for character recognition
+ Can use it on the fridge or carry it around
Cons:
+ Music sounds kinda tinny (but for $19.99...what do you expect?)
+ My 12 month old tried to use it to help her stand on the fridge but the magnets weren't strong enough and she slid down with the toy
+ Kinda heavy for it's size - just fell on my 3 yr old's foot. Lots of complaining
I highly recommend it!

Leapfrog Learn and Groove Radio Review

(More customer reviews)This may have it's place but it is not as a "radio". I mistaken purchased this thinking it had 30 "songs" on it, what it actually has is 30 different pictures on little half moon discs that you flip to see different pictures and if you press the button next to the picture it plays a "tune and sings" for a few seconds about the picture. We also noticed that it only has a couple different tunes and just changes the word for the picture. It has a sippy cup with white in it and one with orange in it the tune just plays and says milk or juice depending on the color etc. The round ball in the center draws attention but when it's touched or bummed even lightly by accident it changes from english to spanish/spanish to english. This is meant to teach children words but some of the pictures I didn't even know what they were like the pajamas. I feel calling it a radio with 30 different songs is misleading we sent it back and will keep looking for a "radio" that plays childrens songs.
