Lots of mini activities - feeding the cow, "planting the flowers" having the eggs slide through the shoot. All the noises and songs, opening and closing the barn door.
Dislike:
Putting it together. It took about 30 minutes to get all the pieces screwed in and assembled. It probably took that long because my son was eager to get his hands on this awesome looking toy and wanted to play with it while we were putting it together.
Why I'm giving it a 5:
It seems pricey for a FP toy, (we bought it on a buy 2 get 1 free promo and got the farm, home and the rock and bounce pony), so it wasn't too bad. FP toys are very sturdy, with a rough baby and 2 dogs, any toy that makes it through and still look brand new is amazing.
Very interactive. Teaches cause and effect. The sounds of the farm animals and the door creaking when it opens and a "slam" when it shuts cracks my baby up. He loves being able to "crawl" through the door. It did take him a little bit why he couldn't "walk" through, and watching him crouch down and waddle though was a hoot. He eventually gave up and crawled.
Even without the extra pieces (eggs, flowers) it's still a lot of fun. We brought it over to a friends house to entertain the little ones - awesome. They had so much fun just messing around with it.
We haven't had a toy that keeps our kid entertained for a long period of time AND something he wants to go back to.
IF YOU ARE DEBATING on getting this vs the HOME - get the home. It has a few more extras and activities to do. Only bonus about the farm is the radio - it makes "static" noises so it's like you're tuning a radio. The home one has a clock that you can teach time and it's a little bigger opening for the doorway.

Fisher-Price Nursery Rhymes CD Player Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this for our youngest daughter at Christmas when she was 6 months old. She is still playing with it at 16 months old. It can keep her occupied for long periods of time, especially if her older sister is sitting with her. It has cute sounds and the songs aren't too annoying. There is a volume control so that is always a plus. You have to watch it and make sure it doesn't stay on, otherwise the lights will keep flashing indefinately.

The Nursery Rhymes CD Player is a take-along infant learning toy that teaches your little one nursery rhymes, first words, animal names and sounds. Your baby simply presses the center button to send the CD spinning around while the three colored lights dance. When it stops on one of five animals, it sings an appropriate nursery rhyme. (More customer reviews)The Fisher-Price Learning Music Player is one of my daughter's favorite toys. Her grandparents bought it for her first birthday and two months later she still loves it. She carries it around the house and dances to the music. There are so many great things about this toy:
+ Good Songs: Not only does *she* like them, but they are comparatively good for a children's toy. There are enough of them that the repetition isn't overly grating.
+ Lightweight: My daughter is easily able to carry this toy around with her, whether walking (unsteadily) or crawling.
+ Baby Friendly Design: The handles make the toy easy for her to carry. The buttons easily allow her to skip songs and/or to repeat her favorites. (The handles also make it easy to attach it high chairs/play pens/car seats if you have plastic ring links, which can usually be found in the baby section of most department stores.)
+ Durable: In two months it has withstood a tremendous amount of toddler abuse (i.e. flinging, banging, chewing).
+ Off Button: This toy comes with a recessed "on/off" switch on the back that tiny fingers can't manipulate. (Which is why this is one of the few toys that we haven't removed the batteries from.)
+ Entertaining: This toy distracts her when she is cranky and entertains her in boring situations (i.e. car rides). It really is developmentally appropriate for young toddlers; it holds her attention so much longer than similar electronic baby toys.
I really cannot recommend this toy enough. I'm not a huge fan of plastic/blinking/noise making toys, but this is one that my daughter really enjoys. The Fisher-Price Learning Music Player is one of the few toys that I'll actually search the house for when it has been misplaced.
