(More customer reviews)Put in the batteries properly, not even after 5 minutes of play we smelled burnt circutry and one of the wheels was stuck in forward gear. When we 'fixed' it and made it stop the same side will now not operate in reverse. Did not yet try to contact the company, but do not have the packaging or it would be returned in store!!!
May not be every car, but I have seen more 'cheaply made' cars reviews from this company online.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 3 year old and he loves it. It's not too fast, it turns on a dime, and it can handle any terrain and even a really messy house! It goes right over everything and wont ding or dent your walls. My 5 year old got the FastLane JLX overdrive (over 100 dollars) and I am worried about it denting parked cars on the street. I wish I had gotten two of these instead. The glowing eyes are super cool, and my favorite part is that you don't have to get a pair of mini screw drivers just to change the batteries. It has little clamps you just move to the side instead. The unboxing was also great. There's no wires to unwind but instead clips you only have to rotate and the thing pops right out of the box. I'm very pleased with this RC car!

(More customer reviews)I brought this toy to place in my grown boyfriend's easter basket this year (2010) ....was it a hit! I knew we both enjoyed watching Speed Racer cartoons we were youngsters, and had watched episodes on youtube...and really loved watching the cartoons together, however, it was about 4am on Sunday Morning...and I could hear him opening his basket...just like a kid....the first thing he opened was the Mach 5....it was in mint condition...never opened...and he put batteries in it and has been enjoying the toy on a regular basis. I am estactic that I was able to find it on Amazon..and that my dear friend loves it! Thank you! The only problem with the toy is that it has to be picked up to turn it off!

(More customer reviews)We bought this toy for my daughter for christmas and it was the biggest hit out of all her gifts. She loved it! But almost as soon as the fun started it was over. First the antenna broke while pulling it up. Then the back wheels stopped working and would smoke and smell when you tried to play with it! And we only used it in our living room carpet! The car is beautiful and so fun but must be very poorly made. We are hoping th eseller will refund or at best exchange. Great idea but poor quality. Virginia Shackelford

(More customer reviews)I thought I read the reviews and description of this car thoroughly. Evidently not. The car itself works fine however, when you turn it on it plays a loud song over and over and there is no volume or music off button. My 7 year-old thought it was funny and loved it for about 30 minutes. After that he even wanted to turn the music off. It just isn't realistic to play with this is in the house because of the noise. We ended up finding a similar car with no music that works off of batteries (another plus so you don't have to wait the 4 hours for it to recharge) at Steinmart for $12.99. We're giving this one to Goodwill.
